The St. Joseph Council Knights of Columbus is holding a lobster roll sale at Most Holy Trinity Church hall on Main Street in Saco on Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The lobster roll plate is $9 and includes a lobster roll, a bag of chips, a pickle and a cookie. The Old Orchard Beach Salvation Army is hosting an annual family fun fair on Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2 Sixth St. There will be free food, activities for all ages, touch-a-truck, bouncy bus, K9 demonstrations, door prizes and music.
St. Augustine Anglican Church is hosting a bottle drive on Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Grange building at 168 North St. in Saco. St. Augustine holds an on-going bottle drive to raise funds to assist the less fortunate and several times each year holds on-site collections. In its six year history, St. Augustine has developed a full outreach program, which includes assisting the York County Shelter Programs, the Saco Food Pantry, providing backpacks and school supplies to the county’s homeless school children and conducting a Bicycles for Foster Children project at Christmas.
