From the Journal Tribune: “People who live on the east side of (Sanford) near Lafayette School have to become more involved in their community to prevent young people from falling into cliques and bad behavior to ‘take back’ their neighborhoods. That is the message from Strategies for a Stronger Sanford, a group that has been meeting for a year to plan how to help the neighborhood help itself.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “The opening of the bids for the construction of the shoe shop building in Saco, which was to have taken place tomorrow at noon, has been postponed until next Monday at noon. The building committee decided on this action as it was believed that not sufficient time had been granted for a thorough inspection of plans and specifications by those who desired to make bids.”
