BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) — Fire officials say a man is dead after a two-story house caught fire in southeastern New Hampshire.
Firefighters arrived at a home in Bedford around 11 p.m. Monday. The home had heavy flames coming from the basement.
Firefighters attempted to rescue the man, who was reported to be trapped in the basement. But he was found on the second floor of the home once most of the fire was extinguished. He died from his injuries at Catholic Medical Center.
The man’s identity has not been released.
