“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” will run through Sept. 5 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. at Nasson Little Theatre, 457 Main St. in Springvale. Presented by Our Theatre Company, this is a musical based on the beloved comic strip characters by Charles M. Schulz. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and children under 12 years old. “Million Dollar Quartet” will be on stage at the Ogunquit Playhouse until Sept. 19. Million Dollar Quartet is the Tony Awardwinning Broadway musical inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Chaos + Order: Contemporary Encaustic by New England Wax, through Sept. 26, is a free exhibit at the Irvine gallery at River Tree Arts. The exhibition features artwork by artists of New England Wax. Their work is a contemporary take on an ancient and unique art form, juried by the University of New England’s Art Gallery Director Anne Zill. Maine State Ballet will hold auditions for “The Nutcracker” on Sept. 11 and 12 at 348 Rte. 1 in Falmouth. On Friday, Sept. 11, ages 13-15 are invited to audition from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and ages 16 and up from 6-7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 12, grades 2-3 are invited to audition from noon to 1:15 p.m.; grades 4-5 from 2-2:45 p.m.; and grades 6-7 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. For information about the auditions go to www.mainestateballet.org or call 781-7672.
