From the Journal Tribune: “Governor John Baldacci’s Maine Energy Recovery Company task force reconvened Tuesday afternoon at (Saco) City Hall to discuss the future of Maine Energy’s incinerator in the twin cities. Members of the task force, chaired by Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Dawn Gallagher, gathered around the table to weigh options.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Resigning superintendent of School Union 4, Raymond A. Kenneally, appears a bit sad at leaving the public school system. Kenneally, who will begin a teaching career at St. Francis College, spent his last day in his superintendent’s office today. Kenneally will be replaced by Bruce L. Smith, formerly of Littleton, N.H. The union is comprised of schools in Biddeford, Dayton and Arundel.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “The recognition service of the recently reorganized church at Bear Hill, Hollis, will occur on Thursday, Sept. 2. The church is now known as the Bear Hill Baptist Church. Rev. A.N. Chandler is pastor.”
