ALTOONA, Pa. — The Altoona Curve (65-59) scored six runs in the second inning and never looked back, beating the Portland Sea Dogs (46-78), 7-2, on Thursday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
The Curve sent 10 men to the plate in the second inning, scoring six runs off losing pitcher Danny Rosenbaum. Jacob Stallings put the Curve on the board with a sacrifice fly to centerfield. Jonathan Schwind and Jose Osuana added two-run doubles and the final run came on a sac-fly by Erich Weiss.
Rosenbaum was charged with his sixth loss in eight starts, yielding six runs (four earned) on four hits, three walks and two strikeouts.
Tzu-Wei Lin smacked a tworun triple in the fifth for Portland.
