BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of 2012 graduate Dominique Lozzi as assistant coach for the women’s ice hockey team.
Lozzi returns to Brunswick after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Trinity (Conn.), where she helped lead the Bantams to a New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015.
A decorated member of the women’s ice hockey team at Bowdoin from 2008- 2012, Lozzi earned NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors as a first-year and served as team captain her senior campaign. She played in 101 games as a Polar Bear, totaling 37 goals, 48 assists and 85 points in her career.
Lozzi graduated from Bowdoin with a degree in Government and Legal Studies and earned her master’s degree in Public Policy from Trinity in 2014.
