From the Journal Tribune: “A proposal for a fuel-free taxicab service was tabled Thursday pending review of town ordinances and traffic. … A pedicab is a small carriage like tricycle with a seat in the rear to carry two adults and move with human energy. … The service would operate from May 1 to Oct. 31. Pedicabs would be available from 9 a.m. to midnight within the proposed dates. Pedicabs would wait in legal parking spaces for customers.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “A band concert will be held tomorrow at Kennebunk Beach from 4 to 5:15 p.m., by Painchaud’s Band under the direction of Adelard Gendron. Arrangements for the concert were made by Arthur Calder, Kennebunk Beach, who will lead the band in several numbers. A new bandstand has been erected for the concert.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “A Polander who gave his name as John Adamson and who has applied at the police station a number of times for a night’s lodging and who showed no desire to work was before the police court this morning on the charge of vagrancy and was ordered to serve six months at Alfred jail.”
