Pancake Breakfast

On Saturday, July 18, from 7-11 a.m., a pancake breakfast will be held at the Windham Veterans Center. Open to the public, tickets are $8, kids under 8 are free. Proceeds benefit the Windham Veterans Association.

Library Open Saturdays

The Windham Public Library will have new hours beginning the week of July 26. The new hours will be Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Through this year’s budget process, the library received additional funding for staffing in order to resume Saturday hours. Library staff members are looking forward to once again providing library services during weekend hours. Stop in on Saturdays beginning Aug. 1.

Bean Supper

On Friday, July 24, a baked bean supper will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Windham Veterans Center, Memorial Drive, North Windham. The proceeds will support the Field-Allen American Legion Baseball program. Tickets are $8, age 12 and under are free. The menu includes beans, salads, casseroles, hot dogs, desserts and beverages. Volleyball Camp

The Windham-Raymond volleyball team will host a second Volleyball Camp week for fifth-ninth-grade kids who would be interested in learning how to play volleyball or continue learning new skills. Class of 1964

The Windham High School Class of 1964 will be having the annual get-together on the evening of Saturday, July 25, at 248 Gray Road in Windham. Windham High graduates are invited to attend. Organizers especially encourage those who were in school during the 1960s to come and share stories and friendship. Please come, bring a friend and enjoy the fire at this informal, outdoor event. Broadway in Windham

On Saturday, July 25, “A Night of Broadway: the Reunion,” will be performed with Kelly Caufield, Bryan McLeod, Jennifer McLeod, Matthew Small and pianist Daniel Strange at 7 p.m., North Windham Union Church, Roosevelt Trail. Tickets sold at the door, $12 for adults, $10 for students, children and seniors. Box office opens at 6:15 p.m., doors open at 6:30. A cool venue for the concert, the church will also host a lobster roll dinner starting at 5:30 before the show for just $10 per person. For more information, go to www.mwamconcerts.com.

Bean Supper

Cornerstone Assembly of God, Cottage Road, Windham, will host a bean supper on Saturday, July 18, from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu includes beans, hot dogs, casseroles, salads, rolls, cornbread, and plenty of homemade desserts. Project Graduation Yard Sale

A yard sale will be held on Saturday, July 18, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. inside the Parish Hall behind North Windham Union Church. Proceeds to benefit Project Graduation 2016.

Annual Lobstah Bake

On Sunday, Aug. 2, Faith Lutheran Downeast Lobstah Bake will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the church at 988 Roosevelt Trail, Windham. Menu includes steamers, corn on the cob, potatoes, coleslaw, blueberry cobbler, lemonade and your choice of one lobster ($20), two lobsters ($25), hotdog/hamburger ($10). Veterans Support Officer Matt Haley will be at the Windham Veterans Center on Wednesday, July 22, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Note these are longer hours to meet the increasing need. Bingo at Veterans Center

Every Tuesday through October, is Bingo Night at the Windham Veterans Center, provided by Standish American Legion Memorial Post 128. Doors are open at 4 p.m. and the Early Bird game starts at 6:10 p.m. with the regular games starting at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments including hot dogs, soft drinks, coffee and baked goods available for sale by the Windham Field Allen Post 148 Auxiliary. All proceeds go to benefit veterans and their families.

Legion Auxiliary Elects

American Legion Field Allen Post 148 Auxiliary installed the following officers for the coming year, at its July 6 meeting: President Pam Whynot, Vice President Michelle Libby, Chaplain Pat Learned, Secretary Aileen Pelletier, Historian Kay Soldier, Treasurer Diana Greenier and Sargent at Arms Nancylou Stiles.
