SACO — A community meeting regarding the Goosefare Brook Watershed will be held June 18 at Saco City Hall at 6 p.m.

Light refreshments and social time will be held from 6-6:30 p.m., and a presentation will run from 6:30-8 p.m. Door prizes from local businesses will be given away.

Goosefare Brook does not meet state water quality standards due to high bacteria levels and other pollution issues. The City of Saco, town of Old Orchard Beach, York County Soil and Water Conservation District, Maine DEP and other local partners have started to develop a locally supported watershed plan to improve and protect the brook.
