WELLS — A three-vehicle collision on Branch Road, near Chick Crossing Road, which occurred at about 10 a.m. Sunday, has left two hospitalized, according to a press release from the Wells Police Department.
Police say witnesses at the scene reported a 2000 Saturn was traveling east on Branch Road when it crossed to the other side of the road and struck a 2008 Ford, continuing along the westbound lane and striking a 2013 Chevy. Bailey Serpa, 19, of New Hampshire, was driving the Saturn, Michael Austin, 60, of Kennebunkport, was driving the Ford, and Crystal Cluff, 45, of Kennebunk, was driving the Chevy, police said.
Branch Road was shut down while police removed Serpa from his vehicle, the release states. He was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he was most recently listed in stable condition. Cluff was transported to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford and is listed in stable condition as well.
Austin was uninjured, police said. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
