BATH — The Morse High School softball team earned a big win with a 4-3 walk-off Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win over Oceanside on Friday.
Leia Graves, who singled twice, drove a Paige Tyler pitch to the outfield to plate the winning win for the Shipbuilders, who improved to 4-3 and visits Gardiner today at 4 p.m.
Morse pitcher Marissa Parks struck out four, walked five and permitted five hits. Mikayla Rose doubled, singled and drove in the first three Shipbuilder runs, while Sara Graves singled and doubled.
LISBON 9
MADISON 7
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-0 firstinning lead and held off the Bulldogs on Friday in Mountain Valley Conference action.
Arianna Kahler was 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Lisbon, 5-2 and slated to visit Dirigo today at 4:30 p.m. Taylor Plourde also drove in three runs with a single and a double, Molly Nicholson singled twice and Jasmin Le drove in a run.
Kailyn Hill earned the mound win, allowing three walks and five hits with five strikeouts.
HAMPDEN 7
BRUNSWICK 1
Courtney Dunton and Casey Peabody split six hits between them from the bottom of Hampden Academy’s lineup, while Dunton and Abby Lord scored six runs leading the Broncos over Brunswick in KVAC play on Friday.
Mikala Lelard went the distance on the mound for Hampden Academy, limiting the Dragons to five hits and three walks to pick up the victory. Brunswick pitcher Hannah Escoe held the Broncos’ 1-5 hitters to one hit, but the production from the lower part of the lineup provided the Broncos with their offensive spark.
Ashley Howe collected two hits for Brunswick, including a double, while Allie Eck ripped a double into the wind.
LEWISTON 1
MT. ARARAT 2
The Eagles ended a four-game KVAC losing skid by downing the Blue Devils (0-8) in 11 innings.
Mt. Ararat pitcher Alana Weaver struck out one and did not walk a Lewiston hitter, while Megan Thibeault was solid for Lewiston, with four strikeouts and no walks.
In the 11th, Kayleigh Temple singled with one out. Katelyn Cox followed with a single to set up Sara Lamb, who drove a Thibeault pitch to the outfield for the winning run.
Rhiannon Hersey had three singles for Mt. Ararat, which visits Brewer today at 4 p.m.
GREENVILLE 3- 0
RICHMOND 15- 14
The Bobcats swept a Saturday East-West Conference doubleheader from Greenville.
In the opener, Sydney Tilton struck out seven, walked one and allowed five hits for the win. At the plate, Kelsea Anair was 3-for- 3, including a home run, while Tilton was 2- for-3 with three RBIs. Kelsie Obi picked up two singles.
Sierra Bussell doubled and Jordan Mann tripled for Greenville (2-2).
In the nightcap, a six-run first inning gave Richmond a big lead, and the Bobcats closed out their second straight Mercy Rule fiveinning win with a six-run fourth.
Meranda Martin was dominant on the mound, with six strikeouts and just three hits allowed.
Anair was 2-for-3 with a double, with Tilton adding two more singles.
Richmond is 7-0 and hosts Forest Hills for a doubleheader this upcoming Saturday at 11 a.m.
