Westbrook Public Services employees Doug Eaton, left, and Dan Wight lower the estimated 80-pound bicentennial time capsule into the ground in Riverbank Park Tuesday. Fred Roberts, right, also assisted. The hole was then filled with sand, with a Sonotube filled with concrete covering the capsule, and serving as the base for a granite monument. Arty Ledoux, the deputy director of Public Services, said the monument will be installed in time for Westbrook Together Days. The time capsule will remain buried until 2114.
