The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands announced this week that the opening of the camping area at the Sebago Lake State Park for the 2015 season on Friday, May 1.
The camping area, which is the largest in the state park system, averages 90,000 campers a season and has 250 individual campsites. Power and water hook-ups are available at 90 of the individual campsites and four bathroom buildings provide hot showers and flush toilets. An amphitheater, two playgrounds, nature center, six miles of hiking trails and a boat launch offer further recreational opportunities. The campground’s two beaches on the north shore of Sebago Lake provide water access for swimming and boating as well.
