Old Orchard Beach police said they were able to get a potentially suicidal man to surrender peacefully Saturday.
Police said they received a report of a suicidal man with a firearm on Saunders Avenue shortly after 2 p.m.
Police said they secured the neighborhood while a crisis response team negotiated with the man for several hours before he surrendered without incident.
Saunders Avenue is a side street off East Grand Avenue near the beach.
Police said no criminal charges were filed Saturday.
