BATH — The developer of the proposed reuse of the John E.L. Huse Memorial School will hold a second informal meeting on the project Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at the Donald Small School.

The meeting will cover the Planning Board process faced by the Szanton Co., the Portland-based developer that plans to convert the 39 Andrews Road building to mixed-income rental housing.

The City Council voted March 4 to sell the nearly 73-year-old building – last used by the Regional School Unit 1 central office until 2010 – to Szanton.

The first Planning Board informal workshop may be held next month, with a formal hearing to follow in June.

Andy Jackson, project manager with Szanton, can be reached for questions at 245-6436 or ajackson@szantoncompany.com.
