BANGOR (AP) — A Maine man who said he had been held against his will in July 2013 by two men he knew through his involvement in the illicit drug trade has been sentenced to more than four years in prison on drug conspiracy charges.
Ryan Partridge, who once lived in Chelsea, but more recently lived in Augusta, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor to four years and two months in prison and three years of probation.
He pleaded guilty in September to conspiring to distribute oxycodone and heroin.
According to the prosecutors, Partridge described himself as a major drug trafficker in the Augusta area.
Partridge said he was the victim of a July 2013, kidnapping in Chelsea, but disappeared when the two men charged went to trial.
