BIDDEFORD — Linda A. Biter, 75, of Biddeford, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born April 22, 1939 in Erie, Penn-sylvania, the daughter of Fred and Alvena (Vogt) Phillips. She was educated there and graduated from Villa Maria Academy in Erie.
On June 18, 1960, she married John Biter at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Erie.
Linda had been employed as an agent for the Prudential Insurance Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1998.
She had been a member of the League of Women Voters and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by: her husband, John Biter Sr. of Biddeford; a daughter, Stephanie Banks and her husband Donald of Bradenton, Florida; a son, John Biter Jr. and his wife Tanya of Bangor; three grandchildren, Megan Biter of Waterville, Kyle Biter and his wife Sadie of Hampden, and Rebecca Banks of Bradenton, Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Ellie Biter of Hampden.
There will be no funeral services. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St. Biddeford. To share condolences online, www.hopememorial.com.
