MESSAGE: Happy New Year!

Any organization’s best assets are its people … and the people that keep Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber going throughout the year are its board of directors and many other volunteers. At this time, we recognize our directors and their companies who supported them in the many hours of committed service to the SMMC.

Leading the way this past year were chamber officers: Chairwoman Cathy Barter (Key Bank), Vice Chairman and Treasurer Matt Barbour (McLeod/Ascanio), 2nd Vice Chairman Jason Buchanan (Colonial Danforth Consulting) and Secretary Art Lamothe (Law Offices of Arthur J. Lamothe).

Our directors included: Mike Bourret (Coastal Counties Workforce), Gil Buthlay (BEK Inc.), Brigit Cavanagh (Hampton Inn Bath/Brunswick), Angela Chute (Authentic Compass), Kevin Clark (Sitelines), Ted Eames (Thayer Corp.), Earle Harvey (Mechanics Savings Bank), Brandon Hussey (Brunswick Hotel & Tavern), Bob Hutchins (Maine Made Photos), Ed Kenyon (Bath Iron Works), Jeff Kobrock (Midcoast Economic Development District), Bob Langworthy (Management Accounting in New England), Patti Lawton (Welcome Home Realty), Amanda Leland (Long Cove Builders), Steve Levesque and Kristine Schuman (Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority), Paul Loveless (Veterans Resource Center), Barbara Rapoza (ServPro of Bath/Brunswick), John Shattuck (town of Topsham) Lois Skillings (Mid Coast Health Services), Judiann Smith (Spurwink), Don Spann (RE/MAX Riverside), Jim Whitten (Southern Maine Community College), Liz Wyman (The Bank of Maine) and Bill Zima (Mt. Ararat Middle School). Not only did these folks serve on the board, but also on one or more of the chamber committees responsible for our events and programming.

We’ll welcome new directors and returning directors at our “Big Night Out.”
