.PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Friends and family of a 30-year-old man fatally shot in a drive-by shooting have gathered with others in Providence to protest against violence.

About 100 people marched down Broad Street, led Nanci Comacho, the mother of the victim, Michael A. Camacho.

She says the violence has to stop and she wants no revenge.

Camacho was Providence’s 19th homicide victim this year when he was shot late Tuesday night. Police say another vehicle pulled alongside him and someone opened fire.

Police say Camacho lost control of his car and crashed head-on into another vehicle, injuring the driver and a passenger.
