Pendleton in USM youth concert

Bonny Eagle High School sophomore Caleb Pendleton of Buxton will perform in the University of Southern Maine’s youth ensembles fall concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at Merrill Auditorium in Portland.

Pendleton will play the trumpet in the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble. The concert also includes the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, Portland Young People’s String Consort, and the Portland Youth Junior Orchestra.

Cemetery plans wreath laying

The South Buxton Cemetery Association is holding its annual Wreaths Across America observance at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the cemetery, 1187 River Road in Buxton, according to its web site.

The date coincides with a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
