The Schoolhouse Arts Center will present Jungle Book Kids from Nov. 7-9.  Performances will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $5 for kids under five. Sanford Maine Stage Theatre will perform “The Man Who Thought He Was Sherlock Holmes” on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Nasson Little Theatre, 457 Main St. in Springvale. Kennebunk High School presents “Jane Eyre” on Nov. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. and on Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. This is a theatrical production based on Charlotte Bronte’s play and adapted by Willis Hall. Maia Mulcahy and Kobi O’Reilly star as Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester. There are no advance reservations for this production and tickets are $8 at the door. Pecha Kucha in Kennebunk is seeking presenters for the next Pecha Kucha Night on Thursday, Nov. 20 at River Tree Arts. Presenters have a timed show of 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds. Artist Maurice Auger’s paintings will be on exhibit at the Goodall Library from October through the end of December. The series titled “Windows” covers a span of 10 years as a result of his interest in old wood architecture. Moe is a member of the Sanford Springvale Art Association and his paintings have been exhibited at Maine College of Art in Portland Maine, The Engine Gallery in Biddeford Maine as well as in businesses and several private homes.

Saco Grange #53 will host Saco Acoustic Country Jam on Friday, Nov. 7 from 7-9 p.m. at 168 North St. in Saco. A donation of $5 per person would be appreciated. The Waterborough Historical Society will sponsor a dance on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 31 West Road, South Waterboro. A mystery dinner will be hosted on Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. by the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 114 Main St. in Kennebunk. “At Home in the Victorian Era” will be on display at the Saco Museum through Nov. 9, featuring an examination of the Victorian home and its furnishings.

The award winning film, “Riding My Way Back” will be screened on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Biddeford High School’s Little Theater. This is a short documentary film capturing one soldier’s journey back from the brink of suicide, with help from his equine companion. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. The Weather Channel and local WCSH meteorologist AJ Burnett will discuss ghosts of the coast on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 10 p.m. ET on “American Super/Natural.” The episode features interviews with local residents, recreations of first-person accounts, and testimonies from experts. According to local folklore, in coastal Maine, there is a ghost that haunts the country road by Catherine. Comedian Bob Marley will perform on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at Massabesic High School. All proceeds will benefit the Massabesic Project AWARE student group and their efforts to help raise awareness about teen issues including bullying, self harm and suicide. Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is seeking actors between the ages of 8-17 for their production of “Beatrix Potter Christmas” on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 3-5 p.m. Auditioners can arrive anytime between 3-4:45 p.m. and will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Actors will be asked to perform a one minute monologue for the director and playwright. No acting experience is required and newcomers are welcome.
