SACO — George E. Macomber, 90, of Saco, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at home.
He was born on May 29, 1924 in Saco, a son of Carl and Blanche Macomber.
He was educated in Saco schools.
George was employed by H & B in Saco and Sanborn’s Express in Scarborough for many years. During retirement, he worked for the City of Saco as a bus driver.
He enjoyed many years of camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Jane Macomber, on June 10, 1998.
He is survived by: three sons, Roger, Gary and Larry Macomber; one daughter, Luanne Montpas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
