State police say a Harrison man is free on bail following his arrest for possessing child pornography.
According to Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, Wayne Pike, 37, was arrested for possession of sexually explicit material of someone under the age of 12, at his home at 582 Bolsters Mills Road in Harrison.
Pike has been under investigation since the summer after the state police’s Computer Crimes Unit received information that resulted in a search of his house. Agents seized and examined Pike’s computer, and found thousands of files and images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused. None of the victims are believed to be from Maine.
