OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Dolores “Del” Petrin, 79, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Topsham on Nov. 18, 1934, a daughter of George and Mathilda (Deschene) St. Laurent.

She was educated in Topsham schools.

The earlier part of her life, Del was employed by various local shoe shops, including Westland Shoe. She then worked for various businesses including the Saco Tanning Corporation, Saco Defense with her husband, and Shape. She also worked at the Golden Rooster, which was her last place of employment prior to retirement.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading two to three books a week.

She was predeceased by: her husband, Urbain “Beany” R. Petrin Jr.; three sisters, Theresa, Georgette and Loretta; and one brother, George.

She is survived by: five children, Donna Letellier and her husband Mike of Florida, Luana Gosselin and her husband Jodie of Saco, James T. Petrin and his wife Marilyn of Saco, Michael J. Petrin of Maryland, and Gary U. Petrin and his wife Cindy of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
