Foye tournament scores success

The third annual Jim Foye Memorial Golf Tournament last month at Gorham Country Club raised more than $12,000 for the scholarship fund that benefits Westbrook High School seniors.

“The scholarship fund was created after Jim’s passing in 2012 to carry on his legacy of helping others,” a tournament organizer, Tami Blake Hamilton, said in a statement. “It’s because of all that Jim did for others, that the golf tournament was originally started – we want to continue to bring people together to do the right thing.”

The tournament has raised more than $28,000 since its inception and has benefited 11 Westbrook seniors.

The golf tournament team winners in the A flight were Peter Levecque, Rudy DiPietro, Mike Francouer, and Stan Eames, first place; second place: Brent Hamilton, Adam Hamilton, Bruce Hamilton, and Joey Hamilton; and third: Tim Maloy, Joel Hawkes, Dave Davis, and Dave Trout.

B flight first place: Mark Russell, Jeff Russell, Dan McCarthy and Stu Jacobs; second: Brian Walsh, Dan Enman, Marc Sawyer, and Ed Enman; third: Bill Hilton, Colleen Hilton, Glen Amico and Billy Hilton.
