The Saco Fire Department wishes to publicly thank Poland Spring for its ongoing support of local fire and emergency medical services through continued donations of drinking water to Maine public safety organizations.
Saco and our neighboring communities have benefited from the donated bottled water and have utilized it to keep our firefighters and medical providers refreshed and hydrated during emergency operations and training evolutions year-round.
The bottled water is a vital component of rehabilitation efforts and allows us to provide our first responders with adequate amounts of fluids for hydration.
The generosity of Poland Spring also helps municipalities stretch their budgets a bit further whereby funds that would have to be spent on water purchases can be directed toward other needs.
Again, thank you to Poland Spring of Hollis for its support and for its commitment to the well-being of local first responders.
David Pendleton, deputy fire chief, Saco Fire Department
