Crop to Benefit Project Grad

Bonny Eagle Crop, an all day scrapbooking event and the biggest fundraiser of the year to benefit Project Graduation, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. in the Bonny Eagle High School cafeteria located at 700 Saco Road, Buxton.

It’s a fantasticly fun day that includes welcome gifts, door prizes, a raffle table, a swap table, lunch and dinner and 11 hours of scrapbooking time. There will be a circuit expression station with 55 cartridges; two people seated at each 8-foot table with folding chairs; no stairs – so roll all your stuff right in! Assistance is available to carry in your supplies and you are welcome to bring a comfy chair or a pillow.

Fall Line Dancing Resumes

Fall line dance classes with Deb Wells will resume on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Sept. 10 at the Steep Falls Library located at 1128 Pequawket Trail. The first half-hour of each class will start with beginner lessons then progress to the more advanced dances as the evening goes on. Please wear comfortable shoes that move on the dance floor and bring your own water. Classes are on a drop-in basis and are $5 per person. For more information, please contact Deb at 310-1302.

Adult Fall Programs Offered

If you are looking for something to do this fall, don’t forget to check out the adult programs being offered through Standish Recreation. There is something for everyone whether you like to play games like cribbage (Mondays at 10 a.m.) or bridge (Tuesdays afternoons from 1-4 p.m.); or perhaps you would like to get a little more active by taking part in yoga (Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.), Tai Chi (Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.), line dance (Tuesdays at 10 a.m., resumes Sept. 16), or try out Zumba (Thursdays at 5 p.m., resuming Oct. 9).

The Active Senior Citizens of Standish will resume their Wednesday luncheons on Sept. 10, and have two van trips scheduled that are coming right up; one to the Museulms of Old York on Thursday Sept. 18 and the next to Oxford Casino on Oct. 1. Football Volunteers Needed

Our Bonny Eagle Scots Football program is in need of more volunteers. Even if you are unable to work the games there is so much more to be done – like setting up before the game, cleaning up after the game, putting product away after it’s delivered, restocking and moving items out to Field 15 for the youth programs. They also need people to sell 50/50 tickets during the game, one of the biggest fundraisers for the football program.
