OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The 21st annual Old Orchard Beach Car Show kicks off Friday with numerous restored vintage cars on display in the downtown.
Cars like the classics shown above will be displayed on Old Orchard Street from 4-7:30 p.m., and the street will be closed to traffic.
Participating vehicles will form a parade around 7:30 p.m., and will be cruising East and West Grand avenues.
The car show exhibit will take place Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Car show registration will be from 8-11 a.m.
The winners will be announced at approximately 2:30 p.m., and trophies for all categories will be awarded at that time.
A $3 donation admission to Saturday’s show includes a People’s Choice ballot to vote for a personal favorite. Proceeds will go to the Old Orchard Beach Firefighters No. 2247 and other nonprofits.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
