Harbour Singers, a local hospice choir, supports persons in end-of-life care settings throughout southern Maine through the gift of song. The musical group, which formed in 2008, consists entirely of volunteers who visit hospice, hospitals, nursing homes or residences throughout the region, with hopes of offering peace and song to those near the end of life. The choir rehearses in Saco every Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. Those interested in becoming new singers are welcomed to attend the Sept. 3, 10 and 17 rehearsals. Rock My Soul, a secular choir known in the Seacoast area for lively, roots-based gospel music and harmonies, is accepting new singers this fall season. Dawn Boyer directs the choir, which is based in South Berwick and draws singers from various communities as far north as Portland and as far south as the North Shore in Massachusetts. Now in its 11th year, Rock My Soul has garnered critical acclaim and performed throughout New England.
