BIDDEFORD — On Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 6-8 p.m., VIP Tires & Service will host its first-ever “Ladies Night” at the VIP location in Biddeford, at 500 Alfred St.
The “Ladies Night” event will be an evening dedicated to basic car maintenance tips in a comfortable and casual setting. Participants are encouraged to bring friends and family and enjoy an evening of food, fun and learning. Women in attendance will learn how to check certain vehicle fluids, look for warning signs in the performance of their vehicle and how to change a tire in an emergency. Lessons will be led by Nicolle Arsenault, the service manager at the Biddeford VIP.
Community partners for the event are GEAR Parent Network and the Southern Maine chapter of Women, Work and Community. GEAR will be handing out informational materials at the event.
Drinks and snacks will be provided, along with various door prizes ranging from a free oil change at VIP to a fully loaded emergency car kit.
The program is free to the public, but requires participants to register beforehand through the store’s Facebook page or in person at the Biddeford VIP location.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
