A tent revival, running nightly from Sunday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug. 31, will be on the corner of Route 9A and 9 on Crediford Road in Wells. Harbour Singers, a local hospice choir, supports persons in end-of-life care settings throughout southern Maine through the gift of song. The musical group, which formed in 2008, consists entirely of volunteers who visit hospice, hospitals, nursing homes or residences throughout the region, with hopes of offering peace and song to those near the end of life. The choir rehearses in Saco every Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. Those interested in becoming new singers are welcomed to attend the Sept. 3, 10, and 17 rehearsals. Rock My Soul, a secular choir known in the Seacoast area for lively, roots-based gospel music and harmonies, is accepting new singers this fall season. Dawn Boyer directs the choir, which is based in South Berwick and draws singers from various communities as far north as Portland and as far south as the North Shore in Massachusetts. Now in its 11th year, Rock My Soul has garnered critical acclaim and performed throughout New England. Although reading music is not required, the ability to sing on pitch and retain parts learned by ear is essential. Rock My Soul rehearses every Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. at the First Parish Federated Church, 150 Main St. (corner of Main and Academy) in South Berwick. Rock My Soul is part of ProjectMusicWorks, a nonprofit arts and cultural organization dedicated to helping those in need through music.

A service of comfort, healing and hope will be offered at First Parish Congregational Church, UCC, at the corner of Beach and Main streets in Saco on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. In shared word and in silence, in the lighting of candles, in holy thought and common touch, participants will seek God’s comfort and healing. All are welcome to the half-hour service.

 The Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church, 5 Lebanon St., Sanford, is searching for singers who like to make good music and have fun doing it. Those who can commit to three rehearsals before the group is scheduled to sing, are welcomed to the choir. Participants don’t need to be able to read music, just have good ears and be ready to be a part of a fun and challenging choral experience. For more information, contact Rev.
