The 89th annual “pilgrimage” service to the Elder Grey Meeting House in Waterboro is set for 2 p.m. Aug. 3 at the meeting house on Chadbourne Ridge Road. Guest minister will be Rev. Linda K. Gard.

St. George’s Episcopal Church, located at 3 Emerson St. in Sanford, offers summer worship services June through August. All are welcome. The Rev. Canon Susan Murphy is rector. A bean supper is planned for Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5-6:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit community outreach in the Sanford area. Bean suppers will be held the third Saturday of each month at St. George’s through October. A large church yard sale is also planned on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with proceeds to benefit Sanford outreach programs.

Heather Anne, a worship leader and revivalist who leads worship for Crossover Ministries in Australia and U.S., recently released a new album of music, “Revelation: Songs from the Throneroom.” She has also ministered both locally and abroad. The annual service at the historic Old Corner Church, corner of Federal Street and West Road in South Waterboro, is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. Guest minister Rev. Virginia Gass of the First Baptist Church of Sanford will deliver the sermon and special music will be provided by Gordon Trail and Jan Thibeault. A ramp at the church steps provides easier access. Following the service and refreshments, Friends of Old Corner Church will have its annual business meeting. Those interested in joining the effort to preserve the 1804 landmark are encouraged to attend and participate in various plans for repair, fundraising and utilization of the church for community events. “Gangway to Galilee,” a vacation Bible school program, will be offered Aug. 11-14 from 6-8 p.m. at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 20 Jenkins Road, Saco. To register, call 286-9829.

International concert organist Joyce Jones from Waco, Texas will perform on Sunday, Aug. 3 at the Ogunquit Baptist Church, 157 Shore Road, Ogunquit, as part of the Summer Organ Series, at 7 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken. Parking is free.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Smith Lane, Saco, will offer a free car wash and hot dogs on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No donations will be accepted, as the event is being put on as a community service.
