Some youngsters taking in “A Step Back in Time” at Gowen Park in Sanford Saturday got a ride from two young “pioneers.” The free, public event offered visitors a glimpse of life in the pioneer days. The event was conducted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who moved by the thousands to the Utah territory in the last half of the 19th century.
