The Jr. Eagles of SAD 75 won in dramatic fashion by scoring seven runs in the final inning.
The teams were deadlocked at 4-4 after four innings, but the host Ravens plated five runs in the fifth to go up 9-4. The Ravens also scored a run in the top of the seventh.
In the 10-hit Eagles offense, Ryan Mello had a single, double and three RBIs, Sam Alexander a single, double and RBI, and Ryan Glass two hits and an RBI.
Also helping with hits were Nate Leslie, Nick Merrill (double, RBI), Kyle Brennan (double, RBI) and Blair Kopp (two RBIs).
Brennan and Liam Huston scored two runs each, while Mello, Alexander, Merrill, Garrett Moody, Caden Temple, Kopp and Glass each scored a run.
Laton Pagiano led the Ravens with three hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Merrill (4.1 innings), Moody (two-thirds) and Mello (2) took turns on the mound with nine strikeouts and eight walks.
Aiden Kirby, Dylan Bartell and Gavin Ketola pitched in the loss and combined on 11 walks and six strikeouts.
Junior Eagles 8-4
In the first game, the Eagles beat the Ravens with just four hits. The Eagles jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings.
Mello had a triple and two RBIs, Huston a double and run scored, Leslie a hit and two runs, Alexander a hit and RBI and Merrill two RBIs.
Kirby, Ketola and Hunter Newsham had two hits each, and Dylan Bartell a double, RBI and run scored.
Glass went the distance and gave up nine hits with three strikeouts and no walks.
Isaac Blake and Bartell combined on eight strikeouts and four walks for the Ravens.
Junior Eagles 8-2
In their next game, the Eagles got past the Swamp Bats of Massachusetts with 11 hits.
Brennan led with two hits and two runs scored, while Mello (run), Alexander and Huston (run) had two hits each and Leslie, Merrill (two runs, RBI), Moody (two runs, RBI) a hit each.
Temple went the first six innings and allowed two hits with three walks and eight strikeouts, while Mello finished up.
Jack Zwiezcherk paced the Swamp Bats with two hits, run and an RBI.
Three Swamp pitchers combined on three strikeouts and five walks.
Storm, Eagles 2-2
In an unofficial game, the Eagles and 16U RBI Storm of Massachusetts battled to a 2- 2 standoff.
The Eagles managed seven hits. Mello had a double, run and RBI, Cole Kelly a hit, Leslie and Moody two hits each and Glass a hit and run scored.
Kopp went the distance and allowed six hits with four walks and a like number of strikeouts.
Ian Reid singled and tripled and Sam Wojo had two hits and an RBI for the Storm, while Josh Bell and Josh Loiselle combined on seven strikeouts and three walks.
