The Pick Up A 12 Pack Of Life digital CD project is currently looking for Maine country bands that are interested in making a difference while promoting themselves across the country.
National campaign spokesperson for this groundbreaking project is singer/songwriter Jayna Lininger of Pittsburgh, who is teaming up with Pick Up A 12 Pack Of Life to put together a series of digital compilation CDs featuring some of the best homegrown country/pop music Maine and 11 other areas of the country have to offer. This campaign provides bands with free exposure by featuring them on one of 12 digital compilation CDs geared toward raising drunk driving awareness.
The project has created a crowd funding campaign in each of the 12 markets in which it will be released. To donate to the campaign, visit maine12packoflife.com.
Bands that wish to submit music for consideration should email maine@12packoflife.com with an mp3 as well as a quote and a band photo.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
