It’s almost summer and that means it’s time for the All Saints Parish – 39th Annual St. John’s Bazaar. This long standing tradition marks the start of the summer season in Midcoast Maine with a weekend long family fun experience. The bazaar will open Friday, June 13 from 5-10 p.m. and continue Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The final day is Sunday, June 15 with hours from noon-5 p.m. Located on the grounds of St. John the Baptist Church, 39 Pleasant St. in Brunswick, St. John’s Bazaar features games, live entertainment, raffles, food, giant yard sale, amusement rides by Smokey’s Greater Shows, and much more! Free admission to the grounds.
The traditional preview day will be held Friday, June 13 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Preview day began as a way to share the bazaar experience with our elderly and disabled friends and neighbors. Please note preview hours are by invitation only and special tickets for admission are required.
Advance ride tickets provide savings up to 50 percent or more on all amusement rides. Advanced tickets are $1 per ticket and are sold in strips of 5. Advance ride tickets are available until noon Friday, June 13, at All Saints Parish Office, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick.
Feeling lucky? Want to win some money? Money Raffle Tickets are available at Atlantic Regional Fed. Credit Union – Brunswick & Topsham, the parish office at 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, or at the raffle ticket booth on the bazaar grounds June 13-15. $1 per ticket or a book of six tickets for $5. Prizes: $1,000, $ 750, $ 500, and $ 250 ( 2). Plus… Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets for the Lawn/ Garden Swing. Horseshoe enthusiasts are encouraged to join us for the 4th Annual Horseshoe Tournament to be held Friday-Sunday, June 13-15. Entry fee is $25 per team or $15 for individuals (to be assigned a partner). Two member teams ages 14 and older will compete in a “ Round Robin” schedule Friday and Saturday. This year’s bazaar also features some free family activities on Saturday morning, June 14, from 9: 30- 11a. m. Enter the Parade of Wheels. Whether it’s a bike or trike, stroller or skateboard; if it has wheels, decorate it, and join in the Parade of Wheels. ( No motorized vehicles allowed.) There will also be lots of other fun activities and prizes for the entire family.
Something new for children ages 4-12! Pick up your Passport to Fun and Prizes at any game booth on the bazaar grounds. Play all nine kid’s games and receive a stamp on your passport. When all game stamps have been collected fill in your name and contact information and bring the completed passport to the raffle booth. The completed passport is your entry into a raffle for some great prizes. Visit the raffle booth for more information.
The weekend also features live entertainment including St. John’s School “B Band,” Chanel Fortin, and the Cheverus Stags +2. Maine’s Christian Rock Band, Exit 244, will make a special appearance Saturday evening.
