WATERVILLE — Sophie Sreden scored four goals, including the game-winner with 4:42 remaining to lift the Morse High School girls lacrosse team to a 12-10 win over Gardiner in the inaugural Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championship game at Thomas College on Friday.
Sreden added two assists, while Bronwyn Morissette scored four goals. Ruth Nadeau (two goals, assist), Amanda Gagne (1-1), Isabelle Paulus (one goal), Noa Sreden (one assist) and Ann Tolan (one assist) also figured into the scoring for the Shipbuilders.
Ally Day paced Gardiner with six goals, with Abby Dunn, Claire Crocker, Marisa Yankowsky and Kelsi Thibeau adding a goal each for the Tigers.
