May 30-June 1: The Lake Region Community Chorus will perform its Spring Concert on Friday, May 30, at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, June 1, at 3 p.m. Both concerts will take place at the Bridgton Academy Twitchell Chapel in North Bridgton. Enjoy these energetic singers as they offer a light program of many musical styles. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

June 5-July 18: New Gloucester photographer Cally Peaco exhibits at Auburn Public Library a series entitled, “Lady Working in the Milkhouse, Farm and Reflections.” The display is in the Androscoggin Room at the library located at 49 Spring St. The library is open Monday-Saturday. An opening reception is June 10 from 4-7 p.m.

June 6-8: Gray Public Library is holding its annual book sale June 6-8. A Preview/Early Bird sale runs 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 6. $5 admission. The book sale runs Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. On Sunday, the books are “buck-a-bag” from noon-2 p.m. The library is at 5 Hancock St. in Gray. For more information, call 657-4110.

Saturday, June 7: The North Gorham Public Library will hold its annual spring book and plant sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Perennials from local gardens, used books, and homemade cookies will be for sale at the library on the corner of North Gorham Road and Standish Neck Road. June 7: The Raymond Village Library’s Plant Sale will be held from 7-11 a.m. Please bring any plant donations to the library on June 6, the day before the sale, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Perennials are very popular, as are ground covers, flower shrubs, vines, bedding plants and annuals. June 7: The Knights of Columbus, Windham Council will be hosting a roast pork dinner from 5-6 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Route 302, North Windham. The proceeds of the dinner will benefit Knights of Columbus Charities. Adults are $9; children (12 and under) are $4; Family max is $25. The menu includes freshly roasted pork, potatoes, fresh vegetables, apple sauce, rolls, coffee, tea and punch, and a homemade dessert buffet.

June 7: The Gray-New Gloucester Not Your Mother’s Garden Club is hosting a plant sale at the Gray Amvets Hall on Route 100 from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. to benefit the Dorothy Wood Scholarship Fund for G-NG Green Studies. No early birds.

Tuesday, June 17: The Fourth Annual Women’s Outlook on Maine Business Forum takes place at Camp Takajo in Naples 1-4 p.m. Kim Block from WGME 13 will facilitate a discussion with Maine’s most successful women addressing work/life balance, opportunities and obstacles, managing, hiring, training and retaining employees and business growth and marketing. Other events include networking, appetizers, wine, giveaways, desserts, presentation of 2014 Woman in Business Leadership Award. Wednesday, June 11: Kate Webber, author of “Swan’s Island Chronicles,” a book filled with borrowed, exaggerated and half-forgotten tales of island life, will discuss her novel at 6:30 p.m. at the Raymond Village Library, 3 Meadow Road in Raymond. Saturday, June 21: The First Annual Raymond Village Bazaar begins at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Village Library. There will be tents, balloons, music, crafts and art work to buy, games, concessions, a bounce house, cotton candy, a white elephant table of superior items and special fun for the kids. This is a family event for all ages.

Sunday, July 13: Raymond Village Library Annual Book Sale kicks off from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This is a great opportunity to add that special book to your collection or to find an interesting novel to read at your convenience. The prices are low and the choices are great. The sale will continue through August.
