OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Old Orchard Beach scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and soared to an 11-1 win over North Yarmouth Academy in five innings in a WMC baseball game on Tuesday.
Kendal Tatsak doubled for OOB and Dylan Creswell tripled.
The Seagulls only had seven hits, but walked eight times against NYA pitchers Josh Chapman and Haven Cutko.
Logan Melnik gave up just one hit over four innings to earn the win for the Seagulls.
Softball
MCAULEY 8, MASSABESIC 7, 13 innings
WATERBORO — Massabesic had one extra-innings comeback in its pocket, but not two, as McAuley scored an unanswered run in the top of the 13th inning to win 8-7 at Lions Field on Tuesday.
The Lions scored two runs in the top of the first, only to see the Mustangs answer with three of their own in the bottom half of the frame.
McAuley went ahead with two runs in the third, but Massabesic tied it up with a run in the fifth.
McAuley plated three runs in the 11th, but Massabesic answered with a three-run, two-out triple by Alyssa Wardwell.
CAPE ELIZABETH 18, KENNEBUNK 6
CAPE ELIZABETH — Host Cape Elizabeth routed Kennebunk on Tuesday, as the Capers beat the Rams 18-6 in a WMC softball game.
Liz Cable, Meg Dube and Ally King all had two hits for the Rams.
