RICHMOND — Meranda Martin tossed a five-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks to lead Richmond High School to an East-West Conference 4-1 softball win over Rangeley on Thursday.
The Bobcats improved to 7-0, while the Lakers fell to 0-5.
Taylor Esty took the mound loss as she gave up four hits with five strikeouts and five walks.
In the Richmond offense, Kelsea Anair had a two-run triple in the third inning, Kelsi Obi a run-scoring single, and Cassidy Harriman and Camryn Hurley a single each.
Esty had two singles in the loss.
First baseman Obi snatched a Rangeley line drive to turn a sixth-inning double play with runners on first and third.
