TOPSHAM — The Lewiston seventh-grade baseball team defeated Mt. Ararat Middle School, 8-2 on Wednesday.
Lewiston scored three runs on two key hits in the decisive fourth inning.
Despite the loss, Ben Freeman and Devin Tobin pitched well for the Eagles.
Freeman, Hunter Lohr, Austin Damon, Ben Hickson and Daniel Pratt all had hits for the Eagles.
In earlier action, Mt. Ararat defeated host Oak Hill, 8-0.
Pitchers Lohr, Willie Kavanaugh and Tobin pitched shutout baseball for the Eagles, allowing only two hits, while striking out seven.
Leading the offense were Lohr, Tobin, Damon, Freeman, Ben Hickson and Kyle Second.
