“You Can’t Take it With You” a Pulitzer Prize-winning show from 1937 about family relations during a period of economic struggle, will show at City Theater, 205 Main St., Biddeford, May 16-25, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 282-0849 or visiting citytheater.org.

“Annie Junior” will show at the Schoolhouse Arts Center, 16 Richville Road (Route 114) in Standish, May 16-18. Neil Simon’s “Rumors” will be performed at Kennebunk High School by the visual and performing arts students on May 22, 23 and 24 at 7 pm. This farce centers around a dinner party where things are not as they seem. Tickets are all $8 and are available at the door of the Alexander Economos Auditorium. There is no reserved seating. A PG-13 rating has been added to this show for mature/strong language.

ART

The sixth annual Art Show will be hosted by the St. Martha’s Knights of Columbus Council No. 12033, May 23-25 at St. Martha Church, 30 Portland Road in Kennebunk. The annual Juried Student Visual Art Exhibition will be on display at Thornton Academy in Saco from May 12-22 at the Edward E. O’Neill Gallery, located adjacent to the school’s atrium. This exhibition will feature approximately 100 two-dimensional, three-dimensional and new media artworks created by students in grades 9-12. A public opening reception for the exhibit will take place tonight from 4-6 p.m. An awards ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Ogunquit’s Barn Gallery will open for the season on Wednesday, May 21, featuring OAA Expressions, an exhibition with a wide variety of subject and medium in the Main Gallery; and Light and Texture, an exploration of the play of light and shadow, in the Lower Gallery. Women in Harmony presents “On the Road,” a concert of choral music in celebration of journeys, May 17-18, featuring the work of Maine composer Erica Quin-Easter and Randall Thompson’s “Come In,” a setting of a Robert Frost poem about a wanderer in the woods, among other works.
