BIDDEFORD — Community Partners, Inc. has hired Andrea Batherson, a licensed social worker, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs. She will provide individual and group counseling, behavior consultation and crisis assessment, along with establishing the new mental health service.

Andrea received her degrees from the University of Vermont and the University of New Hampshire. Her past employers include Seaborne Hospital, Community Partners in Dover, N.H. and Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

CPI also recently hired Peter Rand as its new chief financial officer. Rand was formerly the CFO at the nonprofit, MAPS/Stepping Stones. He has also served on the board of directors for the International Childhood Enrichment Program and Preble Street Resource Center.

Rory Robb, the director of clinical service since 1990, has been promoted to chief operating officer. With a long history in the developmental disabilities field, she has been with CPI for 34 years, is a guardian for a sister with disabilities, and serves on the Maine Developmental Services Oversight and Advisory Board.
