KENNEBUNK — Kennebunk scored the opening seven goals of the game on the way to an 18-11 victory over North Yarmouth Academy in a Western Maine Conference girls lacrosse game on Tuesday at Veteran’s Memorial Field.
Jenny Bush had three goals, Olivia Sanford had two and Carly Sandler two as the Rams (4-0) took a commanding lead in the first 10 minutes of play. Ali Truman, Haley Fecko, Kyra Schwartzman, Katie Ross and Hannah Pepin also all found the net as Kennebunk led 14-3 at the half. Bella Kudas stopped 11 NYA (1-4) shots in goal for the Rams.

MASSABESIC 3, GORHAM 1
WATERBORO — Sean Adams pitched a four-hit complete game as Massabesic (2-2) topped Gorham (0-5) 3-1 in an SMAA baseball game at Massabesic High School on Tuesday.
Adams struck out eight batters while walking just one and allowed just one earned run.
Dawson Renaud drove home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning for the Mustangs.
WELLS 3, GRAY-NG 2
GRAY — Charlie Bell earned his first win of the season on the mound as Wells (4-1) held off host Gray-New Gloucester (3-2) 3-2 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game at Gray-New Gloucester High School on Tuesday.
Bennie McMinis picked up the save by holding off the Patriots in the bottom of the seventh.
