BANGOR (AP) — The trial of two men charged with killing three people and then setting fire to a car containing the bodies is continuing with additional testimony in a Bangor, Maine courtroom.
Randall Daluz of Brockton, Massachusetts, and Nicholas Sexton of Warwick, Rhode Island, are charged with three counts of murder and one count of arson.
Prosecutors say drug dealing played a role in the killings of 26-year-old Daniel Thomas Borders of Hermon; 24-year-old Nicolle Ashley Lugdon of Eddington, and 28-year-old Lucas Alan Tuscano of Bradford.
On Friday, first-responders and a former state medical examiner described the gruesome scene. The examiner said two victims were shot in the head, but that extensive fire damage made it impossible to confirm that the third victim was shot. The bodies were identified through DNA tests.
