Falmouth’s Devereux Thomas, a sophomore at Carrabassett Valley Academy, had a strong ski season, winning the Dax Brown giant slalom race for U-16 athletes at Sugarloaf, placing second at the Mont Tremblant (Quebec) U-16 Can-Am Super G, second in the Lafoley Series GS at Cranmore (N.H.) and fifth at the U-16 championships at Whitefact, N.Y.
