“Cinderella: The World’s Favorite Fairy Tale” will be performed at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, 142 Free St., Portland, April 11-27 with various showtimes at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and during April vacation week on Wednesday and Thursday, April 23 and 24, at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is a special re-telling with the well-known Cinderella of Charles Perrault introducing the audience to characters with similar stories from other cultures. “Cinderella” will be presented by The Wells Players of Wells High School in the Olenn Auditorium, April 2-5. This Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is directed by George Perkins with musical direction provided by Larry Downing. “Dear Sarah” will be performed by UMaine Drama at Brick Store Museum on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. The production is a love story of a doomed sea captain named Charles Barry and his wife. “A Flea in Her Ear” will be performed at the Garrison Players Arts Center in Rollinsford, N.H. and will feature several York County actors. “Time Management,” a mixed media exhibit of drawings and paintings by Saco resident Dana Perkins, will have an opening reception during the Biddeford and Saco ArtWalk on March 28, from 5-8 p.m. This is Perkins’ first one-man fine art exhibit, with a theme of working under pressure and tight deadlines. He will be available during the opening and will have his “Victorian House Built Inside A Bottle” and “Dollar Origami” works on view for the opening night only. The show will be on display through April 19.

The “New to the Collection: Artwork by Louis Norton” exhibition will be shown at the Brick Store Museum, 117 Main St., Kennebunk, through May 25, featuring six newly acquired works of pastel and oil by the early 20th century American artist.

“To Sea: The Maritime Heritage of the Kennebunks” will be on exhibition through Oct. 4, featuring paintings, portraits and artifacts that illustrate the area’s golden age of sail in the 19th century. “Life Drawing Group” is taking place every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Engine. Admission to the group is $10. This group meets weekly and works from a model. “New Ink” will be on exhibit at Engine in Biddeford from March 28 to April 19. The exhibit includes more than 100 prints by Peregrine Press and features a range of printmaking techniques. Aoife O’ Donovan will perform Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m. at Jonathan’s in Ogunquit. O’Donovan is best know as the lead singer of Crooked Still, as a member of folk trio Sometymes Why and as the vocalist on the Grammy winning album “The Great Rodeo Sessions.” “Mardi Gras! A Taste of New Orleans and the Blues/Rock/Pop” will be performed at Jonathan’s on Friday, March 28. The show will feature Grammy Award winner Charles Neville of the Neville Brothers and Jeff Pitchell with Texas Flood. High Range will perform at the First Parish Federated Church in South Berwick on Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. The band plays a fusion of bluegrass, folk and roots music. “Tape Hiss,” a new performance and interview series, will take place at the Oak and the Ax, 140 Main St., Suite 107 in Biddeford, on Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. The show will feature live music from Lonesome Leash, a performance from burlesque sensation Holly D’Anger and an interview with one of the founders of Biddeford’s new Banded Horn Brewing Company. “Cinderella” will be presented by the Maine State Ballet from March 28 to April 13. In this production, 50 dancers will recreate the classic fairytale. The shows run on Friday evenings at 6 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. All shows will take place at the Maine State Ballet Theater, located at 348 U.S Route 1 in Falmouth.
