Biddeford’s 50 Plus Club at the Ross Center will be holding its first-ever Senior Expo on April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the J. Richard Martin Community Center Gym. The Senior Expo will be open to all members of the public, not just those 50 and over.
“Members of Biddeford’s 50 Plus Club, as well as seniors throughout southern Maine, are active, engaged citizens and a fast-growing sector of the population. They shop, bank, invest, plan, and travel with local businesses,” said club President Frank DeFrancesco. “Our vision is to bring local business together with this demographic to showcase valuable products and services they can use. We also want to introduce ourselves to those not familiar with our club to demonstrate how we serve the community.”
Biddeford’s 50 Plus Club, with 1,200 members, is located at the Ross Center within the J. Richard Martin Community Center on 189 Alfred St. in Biddeford. Membership is available to anyone who wishes to join and not limited to Biddeford residents.
The club provides enrichment activities for the body, mind and soul. Chief among the offerings are a multitude of day and multi-day trips ”“ everything from afternoon mystery trips to a Panama Canal cruise. Membership also includes access to weekly Bingo, club luncheons, health and exercise programs, karaoke, regular programming updates
