“Rumpelstiltskin” will be performed Feb. 14-23 at the Children’s Museum and Theater of Maine located at 142 Free St. in Portland. This will be a musical re-telling of the Grimm fairytale. The Portland Comedy Co-op will be performing a comedy showcase every first Thursday of the month at She Doesn’t Like Guthries. “Sing out for Seeger: A Tribute to Pete Seeger” will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20 at One Longfellow Square in Portland. There will be a potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. and live music at 7 p.m. This event will feature various local performers playing Seeger’s music and some of their own. Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold auditions for “Godspell” on Sunday, Feb. 23 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 24 from 6-7 p.m. Callbacks will be on Monday, Feb. 24 from 7-9 p.m. The auditions will be held at Schoolhouse Arts Center at 16 Richville Road (Route 114) in Standish. Actors should be prepared to sing a Broadway-style song, and cold read at the audition with the materials provided for them. The production is seeking teenagers ages 17-19 and adults. Artisan applications for the annual Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival are being accepted until March 17. The festival will be held on Sept. 6-7 on the grounds of the Wells Reserve at Laudholm. The Laudholm festival hosts more than 100 of New England’s artists and craftspeople in a seaside setting. Jewelry, pottery, clothing, metalwork, woodwork and photography are among the crafts selected by a jury for this event. Proceeds from the festival benefit the nonprofit Laudholm Trust. The Seaglass Chorale is seeking new members for the spring season. Conducted by Artistic Director Jean Strazdes, the Seaglass Chorale invites adults who love to sing, and who enjoy the camaraderie of kindred musical spirits, to join.
